The people at Vodafone are being very tightlipped about whether we’ll get the 3G iPhone or the first generation iPhone. If they shortchange India and launch the first gen iPhone, it will only encourage the grey market further as Apple products have always seen more volumes in the grey market.

I Guess it would be the 3G enabled version for there have been talks about it in the air but then they would have to look for clearance from TRAI considering the recent fate of the Blackberry model which was simply banned from the country for stupid security concerns.
